The Annual Competition is Here!

A three-panel comic strip by Marko shows an orange character bursting through a door yelling 'SWORDFIGHT!' and then sword-fighting colorful blob-like creatures. In the final panel, the same character stands over fallen creatures with a sword, under a banner reading 'WORDFIGHT! ANNUAL SPELLING BEE', exclaiming 'OOH!' and 'WHOOPS!' as the creatures lie defeated with X's for eyes. The humor comes from the character's misunderstanding of a spelling bee as a literal sword fight.
